Dženis Burnić is bidding farewell to football in the Bundesrepublik and will begin a new chapter of his career in Greece. 

The midfielder is leaving Karlsruher SC permanently and has signed a contract with Volos FC – a club founded in 2017.

A highly-rated talent during his youth, Burnić initially left Borussia Dortmund for 1.FC Heidenheim in 2020.

Three years later, he moved to Karlsruher SC where he would make over 97 appearances for the Baden-Württemberg outfit.

This season, the 28-year-old fell down the ranks of Karlsruhe's pecking order and was subsequently dropped from their squad.

Switching alliance to Bosnia Herzegovina, Burnić played a combined 14 minutes during Bosnia's 2026 World Cup campaign.
