Official: Bayern secure midfield talent Binder on new contract until 2030

Binder is currently working towards his comeback from a hamstring muscle tear but caught Vincent Kompany's eye during pre-season with the first team.

FC Bayern Munich have confirmed they have secured the services of Tim Binder on a long-term basis until June 2030.

Binder joined the Bayern academy from FC Augsburg at the age of 12 in 2019 and has risen through the youth ranks at the Campus.

The attacking midfielder took part in the preparations for the new 2026-27 season with Vincent Kompany’s first team.

For the reserve side, he’s featured 20 times to date, scoring seven goals and has represented the Germany U-19 national team four times. 

“Tim has great potential: he’s fast, strong with the ball at his feet and has a great character," said FCB sporting director Christoph Freund.

"He recently demonstrated his talent in pre-season with the first team. Tim is a prime example of the excellent development opportunities at our Campus.

"He came to us at a young age and has continually developed in the youth teams. We are delighted to be continuing the journey with him at FC Bayern."
