FC Bayern Munich are set to integrate forward Arijon Ibrahimović into head coach Vincent Kompany's first team for the new season.

The 20-year-old spent the past season on loan at 1.FC Heidenheim, has extended contract with the Bavarian giants until 30 June 2028.

He had gained experience at Italian first-division sides Frosinone and Lazio before his spell at Heidenheim.

“Arijon joined FC Bayern when he was twelve years old," FC Bayern sporting director Christoph Freund explained, upon announcing his extension.

"He has progressed step by step through our Campus and targeted loan spells. In the last year at Heidenheim in particular, he has learned a lot personally to be ready for FC Bayern.

His development is a great example of the opportunities we offer our talents. Now it’s no longer only about learning – it’s about making his mark here at FC Bayern.”
