Netflix has officially expanded the cast of its live-action Solo Leveling adaptation, and the new lineup is bringing some serious Korean star power to Jinwoo’s monster-slaying world. Han So-hee has been cast as Cha Hae-in, the female S-Rank Hunter who becomes Sung Jinwoo’s romantic partner in the original story, while Jung Ji-hoon, better known as RAIN, joins in a special appearance as Baek Yoonho.
The announcement also confirms several other major roles, giving Netflix’s adaptation a much clearer shape. And with Bloodhounds star RAIN stepping into one of the franchise’s formidable Hunters, the casting department is clearly not playing around.
Solo Leveling Casts Han So-hee as Jinwoo’s Girlfriend

[Credit: @xeesoxee/Instagram]Netflix has officially confirmed Han So-hee as Cha Hae-in, one of Korea’s nine S-Rank Hunters and its only female S-Ranker in Solo Leveling. Cha Hae-In is also the only female Vice President of the Hunters Guild, where Choi Jong-In is the President. Now, Cha Hae-In is a fierce biker who fights with a longsword and specifically resembles Korean actress Han So-hee.
Han So-hee already proved she can carry a physical action role in Netflix’s My Name, where she performed difficult action scenes herself as revenge-driven undercover cop Yoon Ji-woo. She also starred as Yoon Chae-ok in Gyeongseong Creature (Part 1 and 2), another Netflix production built around monsters, survival, and large-scale action. Her latest film, Project Y, with Jeon Jong-Seo, earned her great praise from fans as well.
Cha Hae-in is more than just Jinwoo’s future love interest, though. In the original Solo Leveling, she is an elite Hunter in her own right, which makes the casting important beyond the romance angle. The anime has already introduced her as one of the strongest Hunters in Korea, while her relationship with Jinwoo gradually develops alongside the increasingly dangerous Hunter world.
And for K-drama viewers, seeing Han So-hee opposite Byeon Woo-seok (Lovely Runner and Perfect Crown), who was previously announced as Sung Jinwoo, adds another exciting layer. Netflix first confirmed Byeon as the lead in July 2025. The project is a Korean live-action series backed by Kakao Entertainment and SANAI PICTURES.
Bloodhounds 2 Star RAIN Joins Netflix’s Solo Leveling

Furthermore, RAIN is one of the biggest names in the Korean industry, who has proved his mettle as a pop singer, dancer, actor, and music producer. He recently appeared in Bloodhounds Season 2, playing Baek-jeong, a new villain who enters the underground international boxing world.
So RAIN is going from throwing punishing punches in an underground boxing ring to potentially throwing down with monsters and fellow Hunters. Different battlefield, same intimidating energy. Importantly, Netflix has only confirmed a special appearance for RAIN for live-action Season 1. Other details are under wraps for now.
Inside Netflix’s Star-Studded Solo Leveling Cast: Everything We Know
The newly confirmed ensemble also includes Kang You-Seok as Yoo Jinho, Sung Joon as Woo Jinchul, and Lee Sung-min in a special appearance as Go Gunhee.
Kang You-Seok is famous for his roles as Gwan-sik’s son, Eun-myeong. The 32-year-old Korean actor also played famous roles in Resident Playbook, Law and the City, and the Netflix K-movie, BLACK KNIGHT. Kang You-Seok will play the C-Rank Hunter and the son of the Yoojin Group family, who develops a brother-like relationship with Jinwoo.
Now, 57-year-old Lee Sung-Min, who is well-known for his roles in K-dramas Teach You a Lesson, Reborn Rich, Shadow Detective, and Misaeng, will bring color to the character of Go Gunhee. For the unversed, Go Gunhee is a Korean S-Rank Hunter and the Chairman of the Korean Hunters Association.
Interestingly, the Korean actor to play Woo Jinchul—Go Gunhee’s right-arm and the most trusted confidante, who goes on to become the Chairman of the Korean Hunters Association after Gunhee—is none other than Sung Joon. The 6’2″ Korean actor is known for his domineering roles in The Fiery Priest and The Villainess.
There is still no confirmed release date for Netflix’s Solo Leveling.
