During the singer’s show last Friday in Denver, the 33-year-old singer pushed a piano he was playing, flipping it over after he grew frustrated with a tech issue plaguing the instrument, Entertainment Weekly reported.

Wallen was singing his song Sand in My Boots when he stopped playing, stood up and finished the song a cappella.

The crowd reportedly sang along with him, but once he was done singing, he turned back to the instrument and pushed it, sending it crashing upside-down as fans in the stadium continued cheering.

‘Piano is working’ now

Clips of the piano-flipping moment began circulating on social media, prompting Wallen to update his fans on his piano issue in a TikTok video posted Monday.

“Hey, I just want you guys to know that right now this piano is working,” he said in the video as the camera tilts down, showing a red piano.

“That’s what they told me last night,” he added.

In the post’s caption, he wrote, “Can’t you tell I’m so distraught over my piano.”

The incident happened during the first of two performances for Wallen in the Mile High City as part of his Still The Problem Tour, which kicked off in April in Minneapolis, Minn.

Prior incident involving another inanimate object

The country singer made headlines two years ago when he drunkenly threw a chair off of a rooftop bar in Nashville.

Wallen was charged with three counts of reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct.

He ended up pleading guilty to two misdemeanour charges in a plea deal and was sentenced to two years of probation and seven days in a DUI education centre.

He was also ordered to pay a $350 fine and court fees.
