Moon River follows the tormented Crown Prince Lee Kang, who seeks vengeance for his beloved wife’s death. His life takes an unexpected twist when he meets Park Dal-I, a traveling merchant bearing the princess’s face, and, through a strange fate, their souls become intertwined.

So far in Moon River, Crown Prince Lee Kang, haunted by his late wife’s death, secretly plots revenge while pretending to be reckless. Meanwhile, Park Dal-I travels there to help a friend and crosses paths with Lee Kang, who mistakes her for his deceased wife.

Episode 2 of Moon River reveals that Dal-I is actually the crown princess, saved by her aunt Hong-nan after being ordered to die. Wolha erased her memories and sealed her red thread of fate. In the present, Lee Kang and Je-woon investigate Minister Han-chul’s past crimes, suspecting him of using a deadly poison.

Lee Kang unexpectedly reunites with Dal-I, who reminds him of his late wife. Together, they save Lady Heo from a forced suicide, deepening Lee Kang’s suspicions about Dal-i’s true identity. Meanwhile, political tensions rise, Han-chul’s daughter Woo-hee defies him, and Dal-I is framed and nearly punished before Lee Kang rescues her.
