Møller Wolfe vows HSV will "show a different side" after Mainz hammering

The Norwegian wing-back vowed that he and his teammates will bounce back from their five-goal defeat to Mainz.

After a chastening 5-0 defeat at home to Mainz this afternoon, David Møller Wolfe simply had no answer for Hamburger SV's dismal display. 

“To be honest, not right now [an answer to why HSV struggled against Mainz],” Møller Wolfe said in his post match interview.

“This is something that we have to look at and be tough and analyze, because the fans deserve more than what we gave today,” he said.

The Norwegian international also sensed shock amongst his teammates given their preparation went well but didn't reflect it on the pitch.

"I think we were all a bit surprised today [by the result] because our training sessions have been so good with energy and quality.

"So, we really hope we can show a different side of us than what we could today. Of course we have many new guys too. 

"We need to play together and train very, very hard. We also need to give much more than what we did today. 

“As I said, we need practice together. But it's a very long season and we have full faith in ourselves,” the 24-year-old added.

HSV must regroup quickly and turn their attentions to next weekend where they face RB Leipzig on Sunday at 15:30 CET.
