A 36-year-old Mississauga man has been charged with more than a dozen mischief charges after a series of unprovoked assaults and property damage incidents in the city.

Peel Regional Police said the incidents dated to November 2024 and occurred at all hours, with unsuspecting victims in Mississauga allegedly being assaulted or rocks being thrown at vehicles and other property that was damaged.

Police said the victims had no previous interaction with the suspect.
Kuo Yang Du was arrested on an unrelated matter on June 20 and charged with assault, assault with a weapon and 15 counts of mischief over $5,000.
Investigators believe there may be additional victims or witnesses who have not come forward yet and asked them to contact investigators at 905-453-2121, Ext. 1133.

Suspect arrested in assault probe
An 18-year-old man is in custody after being accused of spraying someone with a noxious substance during a brawl in the Leslieville neighbourhood.
Toronto Police said the arrest stems from an investigation into a late-night fight between a group of people on May 31 in the Queen St. E.-Leslie St. area, with one man being sprayed with a noxious substance.

Police said a second victim was also slashed with an edged weapon and hospitalized with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
Liam Jackman, 18, of Lindsay, was arrested on Thursday and charged with carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a dangerous weapon, assault with a weapon, aggravated assault, assault and three counts of administering a noxious thing.
Police said there are no other suspects outstanding.
