Melania graced Mountain View Elementary School in Jefferson with her presence, where she observed the students working with AI. She was also asked about the technology and the concerns surrounding it.
“I think they need to learn; we need to lead,” she said, according to the Associated Press. “Of course they need to be vigilant as well. But this is our future. And we need to guide them and teach them what is available… we need to be the first, in the United States, to lead.”

ZUMAPRESS.com / MEGA While Melania visits school students to promote technology education, her husband, the president of the United States, is scheduled to appear in Gastonia Wednesday, September 16, in support of Whatley, a Republican Senate candidate.
The Irish Star reported that Whatley confirmed the president’s appearance on Facebook. He wrote, “I am thrilled to welcome Donald J. Trump to my home of Gastonia next Wednesday, September 16.”
He added that his win is assured because the president “needs an ally in the Senate and North Carolina needs a fighter.”
Axios separately reported that Trump is attempting to help boost the republican candidate in the Senate race against former Democratic Governor Roy Harper, who is supposedly more widely known and whom Whatley is trailing behind.
The separate schedules meant the president and first lady will be in the same state within a day of each other but are not going to appear together.
