Meghan Markle leaves Prince Harry alone at Kevin Costner's charity event for good reason

Prince Harry attended Kevin Costner's charity event alone after Meghan Markle pulled out due to sickness.

The Duke of Sussex turned up to honor first responders and, in particular, a Santa Barabara helicopter pilot. The event, organized by Costner, is titled 'One805Live!'

Jeff Bridges, Rob Lowe and Pink were all present, while Harry is not a newcomer, also attending the event last year, albeit alongside wife Meghan.

This time around, Markle was not able to attend, with The Mirror reporting "the word is that she is sick and could not make it."

Meghan is, however, said to be attending an event in New York this weekend, likely to appear at the Diana Awards, an event held by the Halo Trust, and one Diana herself attended.

As for Harry, he appeared in a navy suit and white shirt, addressing the crowd to honor helicopter pilot Loren Courtney having arrived at around 7pm.

As a former army Apache pilot, Harry joked about how he and Loren both felt 'more comfortable' behind the controls of a helicopter.

What's next for Harry?

Prince Harry is set to return to the UK later this month, reportedly attending the WellChild reward as one of the charity's patrons, a position he has held for 16 years.

It's unclear whether he will be joined by Meghan, who has reportedly vowed to never step foot in the UK again. The couple did land in the UK after a recent Nigeria visit, but it's reported that Markle did not leave the airport upon their brief stop.
