Marvel fans have seen plenty of strange team-ups, but nobody expected this one. Channing Tatum‘s Gambit and the Fantastic Four‘s robot sidekick, H.E.R.B.I.E., have joined forces in a new Dunkin Donuts commercial to promote Avengers: Doomsday.
The ad is called MUNCHKIN Incursion, and it is every bit as wild as it sounds. In the MCU, an incursion is when two universes crash into each other. Here, the end of the multiverse is explained through donut holes.
As H.E.R.B.I.E. enters with ‘Munchkins Donut Hole Treats’, Gambit says, “Doomsday is here, mon ami.” He sips Dunkin beverages as he asks the robot, “You got any ideas up in that tin-can head of yours?”
While H.E.R.B.I.E. tries to explain Incursion using the Dunkin Donuts treats, all Gambit can think about is the tasty food. As he leaves, he shouts out to the Avengers, “Hey Avengers, robot’s buying breakfast!”

— DiscussingFilm (@DiscussingFilm) November 4, 2026It is silly and random, which is exactly why it works. It also gives fans their best look yet at Tatum’s take on Gambit for the upcoming film.
Channing Tatum Shows Off His Gambit Accent in the New Ad
Channing Tatum as Gambit | Credits: Marvel StudiosThe commercial is a treat for fans curious about Gambit’s voice. In Deadpool & Wolverine, Tatum played up a thick Cajun accent that made Gambit almost impossible to understand. That was the joke. For Avengers: Doomsday, Tatum has toned it down.
In the Dunkin’ ad, Gambit is clearly understandable in his conversation with H.E.R.B.I.E. Tatum had already hinted at this change. Speaking to Variety, he explained how he is taking things a little more seriously, as the Russo brothers want to keep the stakes high. He shared:
I’m not gonna go full Cajun. [Directors Anthony and Joe Russo] want things to be funny, but they don’t want to go full Deadpool. They want to keep the drama and keep it tight. When Gambit gets serious — when he drops the Mardi Gras mask — things do matter.
In an interview with EW, he had already acknowledged that Gambit’s accent was “a tough one” for him. The actor has a personal connection to the accent, as his father is from New Orleans. He noted that the Louisiana accent can range from easy to understand to nearly impossible, so he plays with it.
Tatum also told PEOPLE that he leaned into Gambit’s flirty side for the ad, even with H.E.R.B.I.E. He shared, “I definitely flirted with H.E.R.B.I.E a little bit. I was like, ‘Hey.’ Because Gambit doesn’t care what you are or who you are, he likes to flirt. So I definitely was flirting with a robot.” For a character Tatum has dreamed of playing since childhood, the ad shows he is having a blast with it.
Dunkin Donuts Has Planned a Doomsday-Themed Campaign
A still from Avengers: Doomsday | Credits: Marvel StudiosThe ad is just the start of a much bigger campaign. Starting November 4, Dunkin’ locations across the U.S. are offering a limited-time menu inspired by Avengers: Doomsday (via Dunkin Donuts Press Release). The drinks are themed around the film’s heroes and villains.
Gambit is having an Iced Captain’ccino in the ad. There is the Clobbered Cloud Latte, the Wakandan Daydream Refresher, and the Optic Blast Lemonade. Doctor Doom gets his own energy drink and latte. Fans can also ask for the Doomsday Donut and a new cotton candy-filled Avenging Donut for dessert.
Dunkin Donuts is also bringing plenty of Marvel-themed collectibles. It is selling a Doctor Doom Munchkins tin, themed tumblers, a color-changing mug, and cup sleeves shaped like the gloves of Doom, Black Panther, Mister Fantastic, and Captain America.
The biggest highlight is the immersive restaurant takeovers, which will bring the film to life. Four Dunkin’ locations will be transformed starting November 17 and 18. Los Angeles gets a Fantastic Four theme, Chicago gets the X-Men, New York gets the Avengers, and Boston gets a Doctor Doom makeover.
