The collab will also reportedly feature a free and paid mini-event pass. It also looks like there will be a new Universal Heirloom as part of the event’s premium rewards.

Apex has had some pretty cool collabs in the past, including Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Gundam, and Cyberpunk 2077, and this one will certainly be another major cosmetic addition for the game.

Apex Legends x Godzilla Wildcard Mode and Gameplay Features

The Godzilla collab will reportedly have more than character cosmetics. According to leaks shared by HYPERMYST, the event will also feature a special Wildcard mode with Godzilla. The new mode reportedly has Wildcard Care Packages that will contain a special Heat Ray weapon. Of course, these will be very contested.

Godzilla will allegedly target Care Package landing locations and fire a powerful heat beam on nearby players. So you’ll have to consider more than just enemy teams when contesting these drops. Picking up the Heat Ray gun will reportedly result in a visual transformation to your Legend.

Respawn has previously experimented with environmental changes and special mechanics during collaborations. The Gundam crossover featured enormous Mobile Suit structures across Broken Moon, and the Cyberpunk 2077 event brought new Cyberware abilities and a Night City-inspired version of E-District.

We’re getting new details with the November 5 reveal trailer, where we’ll find out exactly how much of the leaked content makes it into the final event.
