Marie-Philip Poulin activated from LTIR for Montreal Victoire’s regular season finale

Forward Marie-Philip Poulin will return to the lineup tonight for the Montreal Victoire as they close out their regular season against the Seattle Torrent.

The Victoire captain missed the team’s last 10 games. She was placed on long-term injured reserve after suffering a lower-body injury against the Boston Fleet on March 15.

Forward Maureen Murphy is also being activated for the game.

Poulin’s injury history began at the Winter Olympics in Milano Cortina earlier this February. Against Czechia in a preliminary-round matchup, she left the game after taking a hit from Kristyna Kaltounkova. She returned from the injury and scored in Canada’s 5-1 quarterfinal win over Germany.

She was able to suit up for Canada in their gold medal game, where they lost to the United States.

Despite missing 10 games, Poulin, 35, remains Montreal’s leading goal-scorer with nine goals in 18 games.

The Victoire face the Torrent at 10 p.m. tonight. They have already clinched a playoff berth, and will open the postseason next Saturday at home. Their opponent is still to be determined.
