A man in his 20s was killed early Friday morning in what Longueuil police say was a hit-and-run.

The incident occurred around 4:50 a.m. on Taschereau Blvd. in Longueuil’s LeMoyne sector.

Few details were available as of 7 a.m., and police said “the circumstances surrounding this event remain to be clarified.” An investigation will be launched.

A perimeter was set up at the scene and the public is asked to avoid the area. Taschereau Blvd. toward Brossard is down to one lane starting at Curé-Guay St.
