A man was gunned down outside of a home in Scarborough late Friday becoming the city’s 56th murder victim of the year.

Toronto Police say officers responded to reports of gunshots in the area of Layton and Landry Aves. – a residential neighbourhood just north of Danforth Ave. and Danforth Rd. – shortly before 11:30 p.m.
Cops arrived to find a man out front of a home suffering from a gunshot wound.
Emergency responders tried to revive the man but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim’s name and age were not immediately available.
And no suspect description was released.
