An 18-year-old man is facing attempted murder and a slew of other charges after what police allege was a “targeted” shooting in Mississauga in early September.

Peel Regional Police say two more suspects have also been charged following an investigation that spanned nearly two months.

Police allege the driver of a white Ford Explorer was pursuing a white Ford Bronco Sport occupied by two people on Sept. 3 at approximately 4 a.m.
According to police, the incident escalated on Southdown Rd., north of Lakeshore Rd. W., where the suspect shot nine rounds from a firearm into the victim’s vehicle. One victim sustained serious injuries and the second was unharmed, cops said.
Police said, following a comprehensive investigation, an arrest was made on Oct. 7.

Daniel Emmanuel was charged with attempted murder, unauthorized possession of a firearm, discharging a firearm with intent, careless use of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition, occupant of a motor vehicle knowing there was unauthorized possession of a firearm, knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm, aggravated assault, possession of property obtained by crime, and selling or possessing counterfeit marks.

Cops said Emmanuel was held pending a bail hearing and appeared in a Brampton court.
On Wednesday, investigators executed a search warrant and two additional individuals were arrested, police said.
Loreto Perruzza, 55, of Mississauga, was charged with obstructing justice and accessory after the fact to commit an indictable offence.
Leone Francesco, 34, of Oakville, was charged with obstructing a peace officer, public mischief – make false statement, and accessory after the fact to commit an indictable offence.
Police said both Perruzza and Francesco were released on undertakings with conditions and are scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
Police said anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact investigators with 11 Division Criminal Investigations Bureau at 905-453-2121 extension 1133.
