Teresa Paqueo, 37, is an electrical engineer and mom of two who hasn’t cut her hair in over a year. She was ready for a fall style reset.

Teresa has naturally brown and fine hair, which was feeling too long and unmanageable. I wanted to provide her with a style that would complement her face shape, work with her lifestyle and allow her to be able to easily pull it back and away from her face.

I started by cleansing her hair with Oribe Shampoo and Conditioner for Magnificent Volume then sectioned her hair with a central vertical parting. I eliminated several inches from her length, creating an effortless cropped silhouette; offering the appearance of fuller and thicker hair.

Before styling I sprayed Oribe Grandiose Hair Pluming Mousse throughout her hair and blow dried it with a round brush. I then added a slight bend to her hair with a curling wand, for added texture and movement. To finish the style, I used Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray for added invisible volume.

Makeup

To refresh Teresa’s makeup, I applied a lightweight skin illuminator to even out her complexion and blended on a cream stick blush to her cheeks for a natural pop of colour. To define her eyes I used a copper-brown eyeshadow stick and rimmed her waterline with a dark brow waterproof eyeliner. I then curled her lashes and coated them with black mascara and finished the look with a bold berry-red lip stain — which is now a new favourite for her.
