Canadian taxpayers should not have to pay for our already overworked police to clean up conflicts driven by Palestinians making threats against Jews, or any other cultures who don’t like what the governments over in their homelands are doing. Go and fight your battles over in your own country and leave ours in peace!

Donna Miller                                                                                                                                               Markham

(We are on the hook as long as they continue threats against our Jewish community. They need to stop)

DROP THE AGE

There have been a rash of violent crimes allegedly committed by youths recently. Several years ago, before the Liberals tampered with the justice system in order to make life easier for criminals, the law classified a young offender as anyone under the age of 16, but now a young offender is considered anyone who is under 18. Maybe it is high time that the law reverts back to classify a young offender as under 16.

(This country is in desperate need of criminal justice reform and changing the age should be at minimum considered)

SCAM CALLS KEEP COMING

What happened to the government promises to stop the scam calls? I remember signing up to have them stopped on my phone. I have had 17 calls from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. from Amazon, Canadian government, Visa and duct cleaners. There were even three calls that I missed because I was talking to another scammer. There have been a lot of people told off today, and the phone is still ringing. Once again, our government can’t get it done.

Roy Foster                                                                                                                                                   Orono, Ont.

(Another government fail)
