RAW SEWAGE
We all know how Donald Trump likes to place his name on as many structures as possible. Surely there is a new sewage treatment plant in the U.S. looking for a new name. “The Donald J. Trump Sewage Treatment Plant, where we process all crap.” Hope this helps our municipalities south of the border!

(Trump would spin it and tell us “it’s the best sewage treatment plant, maybe in the world!”)

CLEAN UP OUR OWN BACKYARD

After failing to negotiate a favourable agreement with the U.S., it is time for the Carney government to abandon some of its current policies that increase the cost of living for Canadians and accomplish little or nothing except, possibly, some misguided bragging rights. To begin with, plastic is not toxic when used for grocery bags, drinking straws, etc. and, in most cases, production is more environmentally friendly than alternatives. Next, carbon dioxide is not pollution but actually necessary for life on this planet. Dropping the industrial carbon tax and other Justin Trudeau initiatives would lower costs for everyone. As well, the government should drop the ethanol requirement in Canadian gasoline. It would result in a mild increase in gas mileage for Canadians, lowering fuel costs, and it would eliminate the need to import the three billion litres of fuel ethanol that currently come from the U.S. annually. Perhaps the Iowa farmers could explain to the president that Canadians do have a positive contribution to the American economy.

(There are so many policy adjustments we should be making, including the ones you’ve listed. Not only does this secure our own economic future, we could attract those who have left to come back)
