A CANADIAN EMBARRASSMENT
Re “Weasel words led to Canada’s recognition of Palestine” (Lorrie Goldstein, Oct. 14): PM Carney’s decision to recognize the State of Palestine goes far deeper than his simply buying into the idle promise from the Palestinian authority for democratic reforms. After reading Carney’s book ‘Value(s),’ Dr. Jordon Peterson declared him devoid of any original ideas, so he simply borrows ideas from others. So when fellow Globalists France’s President Macron and England’s former PM Starmer declared their support for a Palestine State, Europhile Carney readily joined them. Between virtue signaling, Trudeau-Carney $600 million has gone to support Palestinian civilians with zero due diligence as to where it actually ended up. There can be zero doubt Hamas was able to siphon off a portion of this for rearmament.

(It was such a pathetic declaration which sadly has real consequences. It was embarrassing for Carney to have done this)
CARNEY HOODWINKED
Re “Weasel words led to Canada’s recognition of Palestine” (Lorrie Goldstein, Oct. 14): It is profoundly ironic that Mahmoud Abbas, the leader of the “Palestinian Authority,” has delayed the next election until Sept. 11, 27, which just happens to be the anniversary of the terrorist attack of 9/11. Prime Minister Carney and Foreign Minister Anita Anand have been hoodwinked by the great manipulator Abbas. Abbas has not allowed any elections since 2006, yet Carney and Anand continually hand over hundreds of millions of dollars to this corrupt and unreliable so-called “entity.” Shameful.

A TAXING ENVIRONMENT
Re “Greenhouse gas emissions up again” (Editorial, Oct. 10): As a Grade 10 student, your article made me think of my future. Within two years, I’ll be entering the world, and I’m worried about paying high taxes for climate strategies that don’t work. These taxes also raise business costs and prices. This affects how I manage costs at university. Your article has made me think of my parents’ complaints of things and how I’ll be affected by the government’s decisions.
