Re “Trudeau lectures Finland on immigration, stresses focus on ‘shared values'” (Brian Towie, June 30): Our former prime minister Justin Trudeau recently spent some time in Finland engaged in what historically he does best – wag his finger and lecture whoever will listen from other countries on what they should be doing. This time, the topic was his justification for excessive immigration in the final years of his tenure – despite the fact that Canada didn’t have the infrastructure such as health care, social services and housing to support the kind of numbers entering the country. Sometimes one is left to wonder if Trudeau didn’t, at least in part, view immigrants as future Liberal voters!

LOST CONTROL
The only reason Captain Carney and his elitist socialist cohorts are preaching a new world order is because they lost control of the old one. They’re having a difficult time because there aren’t many business people amongst them – but they all have a consultant’s number.
