A 19-year-old Ajax man was hit with a number of charges in relation to a firearms investigation in Pickering.

Durham Regional Police said, earlier this month, its Drug Enforcement Unit finished a firearms investigation involving a man. With the help of the Tactical Support Unit, a search warrant was executed at a home in Pickering, cops added.
A suspect was located inside the home, and he was arrested without incident, police said. Upon searching the residence, investigators found a Glock switch gun, drugs and drug paraphernalia.
At the time of his arrest, the suspect was on weapons prohibition conditions.
Tuan Ubayd Badurdeen is charged with possession of a prohibited device, two counts of possession of a prohibited device, failure to comply, and possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking.
Badurdeen was held pending a bail hearing.

Hamilton man charged after woman allegedly stabbed
A 41-year-old man has been charged with aggravated assault and arson after a stabbing incident early Saturday morning.
Hamilton Police say officers responded to a reported stabbing incident shortly after 3 a.m. in the area of Fennel Ave. E. and East 26th St. in the Mountain Eastmount neighbourhood.
Upon arriving at the scene, cops found a woman suffering from minor stab wounds. She was treated for her injuries and remains in stable condition, police noted.

A man was subsequently located and arrested without incident.
A section of Fennell Ave. E. was closed on Saturday morning as forensic investigators processed the scene. The street has since reopened.

Hamilton police investigate home invasion
Hamilton Police are investigating after three masked men forced their way into a home early Saturday morning.
At about 4 a.m., police say officers responded to a home invasion call in the area of Rymal Rd. E. and Arrowhead Dr. in the Mount Butler neighbourhood.
Police say three masked men had forced their way into a unit at 565 Rymal Rd. E., with one suspect armed with a firearm. Once inside, the men demanded money from the occupants in what investigators believe to be a targeted incident.
The three suspects fled the scene in a dark sedan, possibly a Honda Civic.
Police are looking for any potential witnesses as well as potential security footage from the neighbourhood. Anyone with information can contact Det. Walters at 905-546-8968, or email [email protected].
