LEARNING CURVE
Although AI (artificial intelligence) is helpful, there is a looming dark side. Remember, a long time ago, people used an abacus to calculate things. Later, paper and pens and even the slide rule were used for difficult calculations. Then, pocket and hand-held calculators were all the rage. Now, AI is at everyone’s fingertips for pretty much any and all types of information. AI just might be the downfall of mankind! AI may lower the critical thinking skills and imagination that humans possess.

AI OVERKILL
Re “Death by organ donation being discussed as new MAID possibility for doctors” (Gordon Anderson, July 23): So, you need a lung transplant. AI identifies a dozen matches for a donor — then AI bombards their social feeds with medically assisted suicide content, brainwashing them to kill themselves so you can get the lungs. How far off is that?

PEACE ON EARTH
Today, the world is facing great suffering. Wars in places like Iran, Gaza and Sudan are causing pain and the loss of innocent lives. These events show that people are moving away from God and His teachings of peace and justice. If we truly want peace, we must bring faith, kindness and unity back into our lives. We should treat others with respect and remember our duties to God and humanity. Only then can the world become a better and safer place for everyone.
