FC Köln are currently dealing with double concern after Thijs Dallinga and Ragnar Ache suffered injuries this afternoon, 3 October.
The duo were forced off during a friendly clash against Viktoria Köln, with both strikers were taken to hospital for initial examinations.
"Thijs Dallinga is on his way to the Mediapark Clinic. Ragnar Ache had to be substituted at halftime due to injury.
"He too will be taken to the Mediapark Clinic for further examinations," Köln announced via a short update on X/Twitter during the match.
Adding further insult to injury, Ache only came on in the 34th-minute for Dallinga, who left the field supported by medical staff.
Imad Rondic then replaced Ache at half-time. The nature of the injuries and whether the striker duo will be sidelined is not yet known.
Dallinga, who netted a debut brace in Effzeh's 3-1 win over TSG Hoffenheim on matchday one, was seen clutching his knee several times.
The Bologna loanee missed the subsequent 1-4 lost to VfB Stuttgart with illness, but played for about an hour each against Bremen and HSV.
Ache has so far shared playing time with the Dutch signing and scored his first goal of the season against HSV in the ast matchday.
Against Viktoria Köln, the Bundesliga side salvaged a 2-2 draw after Marius Bülter equalized in the 76th-minute of the second half.
