Greece's national team coach Ivan Jovanović has hit back at Borussia Dortmund's request to spare Kostas Karetsas against Germany.

“Since I've been the national team coach here, there hasn't been a single club in Europe that has demanded special treatment from us.

“As long as I'm the coach, there won't be any exceptions either,” explained Jovanović in his press conference ahead of Sunday's game.

The 64-year-old went on to emphasize, however, that there is regular communication between the federation and their players' clubs.

Jovanović gave his word that the Greek FA are generally accommodating, but it sounds like the BVB talent won't have his minutes managed.

Already in this Nations League campaign, Karetsas has played 247 of a possible 270 minutes in their last three games combined.
