On September 12, Lottie Moss, the sister of supermodel Kate Moss, was hospitalized due to an Ozempic overdose. The 26-year-old was rushed to the hospital after suffering severe seizures caused by intense dehydration.

It is reported that Lottie obtained the substance illegally from her doctor, which could have serious repercussions for both. Upon learning the dosage Lottie injected into her leg, doctors noted that this amount is typically prescribed to someone weighing at least 100 kilograms, nearly double her weight.

Lottie Moss is currently stable and recovering from the severe dehydration she experienced.

It is not the first time Moss has had problems due to overdose; in 2022, she was admitted to a rehabilitation center for substance abuse.

What is Ozempic used for?

Ozempic is a medication usually prescribed for people with diabetes or obesity. It slows the rate at which food leaves the stomach, helps reduce the amount of sugar released by the liver, and increases the amount of insulin released by the pancreas when blood sugar levels are high.

It is typically administered via injection, and improper use can even lead to thyroid tumors.

Why did Lottie Moss start using Ozempic?

Lottie Moss began using Ozempic due to her desire to lose weight. The OnlyFans star started the treatment two weeks before being hospitalized, when she weighed just 60 kilograms.

Without medical authorization, Lottie administered increasingly higher doses and within weeks dropped from 60 to 53 kilograms. The use of Ozempic caused severe side effects such as vomiting and a complete inability to retain fluids and food.

In her podcast *Dream On*, Moss admitted her mistakes and shared the symptoms she experienced after taking two doses of Ozempic.

"I was throwing up, it was horrible. I took a lower dosage the first time I took it, then I went up higher. I ended up being in bed for two days, felt so sick, my weight had dropped," Moss said.

Following this incident, it seems Moss regrets her decision and has promised never to use Ozempic or any substance not recommended and prescribed by a doctor.

"I would rather die any day than take it again. It made me feel so nauseous," Lottie said upon leaving the hospital.
