Selena Gomez is tired of trying to please everyone's expectations and therefore, she posted a video on her X account where she celebrated the ability to "be able to be vulnerable", after she has received countless comments of bad taste, once she revealed that she can't have children, due to her complicated health condition.
Therefore, the actress and singer simply said during her participation in a 'Women in Film' event that anyone who sees her as a victim because of her medical problems to "f*ck off".
She added, "Telling people when you need help or when you want help, that's not shameful."
She also took the moment to advise his sister, Gracie, and the rest of the attendees at the event to "never let anyone tell you that you're not a good person."
The possibility of becoming a mother for Selena Gomez
Earlier this month, the former Disney Channel star told Vanity Fair that she considers adoption or surrogacy as "huge possibilities" for her to become a mother.
"Unfortunately, I have a lot of medical issues that could put my life and the baby's life in danger," she explained exclusively to the publication, which used her for its cover story. "It was something I had to mourn for a while. It's not necessarily how I imagined it. I thought it would happen like it happens to everyone," Selena acknowledged.
However she said she achieved acceptance of her medical condition and has felt fulfilled as a woman after starting her relationship with producer Benny Blanco, for which she said she felt "really grateful for the other outlets for people who are dying to be moms. I'm one of those people. I'm excited about what that journey will be like, but it will be a little different."
But she also spoke about her immune issue with lupus, as well as for her mental health diagnosis, after she was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2020 and the following year told Elle that she "felt like a huge weight was lifted off her shoulders" when she found out.
