Jon Cryer is an iconic actor known for portraying the role of Alan Harper alongside Charlie Sheen in Two and a Half Men. Having an iconic partnership, the two fell out after Sheen found himself out of the American sitcom.
After the series ended its 12-season run, Cryer recently revealed that he is open to a reunion. Although he and Sheen departed on bad blood, Jon Cryer is pretty confident that Charlie Sheen will indeed return for a reunion!
Jon Cryer Is Open For a Two and a Half Men Reunion
Iconic actor Jon Cryer is one of the men from the Two and a Half Men show alongside Charlie Sheen and Angus T. Jones. After Sheen caused the sitcom to take a halt after going into rehab for the third time, the studio decided that enough was enough.
The studio replaced Sheen with Ashton Kutcher and ran the show for four more seasons before shutting it down with a 12th season. Ever since being on the opposite sides, Charlie Sheen and Jon Cryer haven’t been seeing eye-to-eye. In an interview with ET, Cryer revealed that he is open to a Two and a Half Men reunion.
“I’m not going to rule anything out, but I haven’t talked to Charlie. I’m really glad they made up… I can only say for Chuck [Lorre], clearly. He has the enormous relief of somebody who’s been able to rekindle a friendship that was really meaningful to him.”
He further continued
“He and Charlie were very, very close for the first few years of Two and a Half Men and that they’ve managed to reconcile is really lovely. I have not spoken to Charlie. I don’t know that he knows my number anymore. But anything could happen.”
Although Cryer doesn’t mind reuniting with his old pal, the public falling out that the duo had was quite unprecedented. With Sheen calling Jon Cryer a “traitor”, the two had quite a public feud.
When Charlie Sheen Called Jon Cryer A “Traitor”
With Sheen in rehab, Jon Cryer refused to stand with or against his co-star. After the studio fired Sheen, the actor revealed in an interview (via THR) that Jon Cryer was a traitor for not siding alongside his friend.
“Like I said: You’re with me, or you’re with the trolls. Obviously, he’s with the trolls. Jon has not called me. He’s a turncoat, a traitor, a troll. Clearly he’s a troll. He issued a statement. Is it gonna take me calling him a ‘traitor, juvenile and scared’ for him to get it?”
After a 12-season run, Two and a Half Men currently stands at a rating of 7.1/10 on IMDB and an average of 65% on Rotten Tomatoes. The American sitcom is currently available to stream on Peacock Premium in the U.S.
