The breakout star of Prime Video’s hit hockey romance series Off Campus was a “Coca-Cola Coin Toss Ambassador” at the World Cup coin toss for the Canada vs. Switzerland game at B.C. Place on Wednesday.

Kalyn and co-stars were also spotted at B.C. Place for Egypt’s 3-1 win over New Zealand on June 21.

The World Cup gig came on the heels of his new and very steamy ad for Verizon that dropped on June 23.

In the just-released black-and-white, one-minute Calvin Kleinesque ad for the telecom company’s new Simplicity plan, Kalyn dances and struts around in a white tank top and leather pants as the INXS song Never Tear Us Apart plays.

Kalyn, who plays Dean Di Laurentis in the Vancouver-shot Off Campus, says to the camera, “It’s you. It’s only you. You’re the one.” And, yes, that tank top does come off as he tells the viewer “simple is sexy.”

The “Simplicity is Sexy” campaign is the first major brand deal for the actor.

“Doing a commercial is so different from doing what I do naturally, so I didn’t know that world as much,” Kalyn told the Hollywood Reporter.

“You can kind of just let loose and think to yourself, ‘Oh God, I really hope nobody would ever see me doing that in public.’ That’s kind of how I was feeling.”

Off Campus has become a huge hit since the first season dropped on May 26. It became Prime Video’s third-largest series debut ever with 36 million viewers in its first 12 days.

During the World Cup, the show has taken a brief hiatus from shooting Season 2, which is set to focus on Kalyn’s character and co-star Mika Abdalla’s Allie character.
