The recoilless rifle is absolutely a convenient choice if you are someone who likes to go with a tank build. It fits well in a tank build since its main motive is to take town heavier and bigger enemies to make it easier for the team to move forward by eradicating major threats.

However, the gun often leaves you vulnerable due to its slow reload time. Helldivers 2 lets you equip a backpack full of ammo; the backpack can also be assigned to your teammates, who can then help you out with the reload, which decreases the reload time significantly. But when you are in the middle of the battlefield, you wouldn’t want 2 players to be vulnerable for even a brief amount of time since you can be caught in between an ambush.

It is true that the recoilless rifle can, at times, fire like an assault rifle, but that is only possible if you have a teammate holding the ammo backpack for you.

Arrowhead can implement some changes concerning the rifle’s reload time by increasing it to an extent where you become self-sufficient and can independently take on big enemies.

By implementing these changes, the recoilless rifle will become one of the most powerful weapons in the game. It already belongs to the top tier in the game, and there is still room for some improvement.
