The insider mentioned that Lopez is looking for someone like Joe Jonas or Zac Efron to be "eye candy" for her next public appearance.

However, her friends are reportedly worried, believing that jumping into casual dating might be a risky move, and advising her to prioritize love and stability when she feels ready.

The source also hinted that Lopez could even consider dating comedian Pete Davidson, which has caused concern among her inner circle.

"Her team is worried about someone like Pete Davidson, given his history with rehab, and they're concerned Jen might feel she has to 'save him,'" the insider explained.

Lopez has previous with younger men

Lopez's potential interest in younger partners isn't new. She previously dated dancer and choreographer Beau "Casper" Smart, who was 18 years younger than her.

The two were in an on-again, off-again relationship from 2011 to 2016, before breaking up over Smart's infidelity.

According to a source quoted by PEOPLE in 2016, Lopez ended the relationship after Smart cheated again, despite promising not to.

Before her relationship with Smart, Lopez was married to Latin singer Marc Anthony, with whom she shares 16-year-old twins Max and Emme.

Their split was finalized in 2014 after citing "irreconcilable differences."
