If you’ve spent any time grinding levels in Far Far West, you already know how slow things can feel. It is especially frustrating when your hero barely levels up after a rough run. That’s where XP Tickets come in.
These little boosts let you instantly level up(a hero or a single weapon) without replaying the same missions over and over. Sounds great, right? The problem is, getting them isn’t easy at all (like finding the wandering trader). If you don’t understand how prestige works, you’ll either miss them completely or waste their potential.

XP Tickets are prestige rewards, meaning you won’t find them as loot, enemy drops, or shop items. The only way to obtain them is through the prestige system. Here’s how it works step by step:
- Both your hero and weapons cap at level 100
- Once you hit level 100, you unlock the option to prestige that track
- Prestiging resets the visible level back to 1, but keeps all stats, unlocks, skins, and upgrades intact
- Each prestige gives you 5 prestige points
After earning these prestige points, you can then spend them in the prestige shop, which provides items like:
- XP Ticket = 1 point each
- Upgrade Slot = 2 points
- Joker Slot = 5 points
- Gold / Souls = 1 point each
Since XP Tickets only cost 1 point, you can get up to 5 tickets per prestige if you spend everything on them. Now that you have the XP tickets, what exactly do they do? Each ticket is a single-use consumable and instantly provides +3 levels to one selected hero or weapon. It doesn’t even give XP; it just gives direct level increases.
NOTE: If we were to calculate, 1 XP Ticket is equivalent to 3,000 XP saved (since each level requires 1,000 XP).
Smart Ways to Use XP Tickets in Far Far West
Three levels, zero effort, yes please. | Credit:- Fireshine GamesUsing XP Tickets effectively comes down to understanding where they save you the most time. In most cases, that means prioritizing your hero. Hero progression is tied to mission success, side objectives, and extraction, which makes it slower and less consistent than weapon leveling.
A bad run can cut your gains significantly, so using XP Tickets here helps you skip some of the most frustrating grind. On the other hand, weapons, especially the ones you use most of the time, level naturally through damage dealt, so spending tickets on them often gives lower value. The exception is weapons you rarely use but still want to upgrade, where tickets can quickly push you past early levels and unlock key perks.
So these should be natural selection for the use of prestige:
- Use your first hero prestige to unlock a Joker Slot: This costs all 5 points, but gives a major power boost
- After that, start prioritizing XP Tickets as your main prestige investment
- Avoid overspending on weapons
To make the most of these points, it is best to take a balanced approach: take 1 Upgrade Slot (2 points) and spend the rest on XP Tickets.
In the end, one thing becomes clear from understanding XP Tickets: they aren’t a shortcut to instant power, but they’re the most reliable way to reduce grind where it matters most, hero progression.
Now, the real question is: are you using your prestige points to save time, or wasting them on progress you’d earn anyway? Comment below to let us know your strategy.
