You don’t find Splendent Ruby in a separate deposit of its own. Instead, you can get it as a separate drop while extracting regular Ruby nodes. The locations you should visit depend on whether you play as Elyos or Asmodian. If you’re looking for Refining Stones, we’ve got you covered with a guide for that as well.

Here’s everything you need to know about farming Splendent Ruby in Aion 2.

Where to Find Splendent Ruby in Aion 2

First, make sure you have reached Novice Level 50 in Essence Extraction and accepted the upgrade quest. Korius assigns the quest to the Elyos faction, and the Asmodian faction gets it from Alzirr.

Once the quest is active, go to an area with Ruby deposits and start extracting them. While the quest is active, each successful extraction will give you one Splendent Ruby. Basically, you don’t have to find specific veins or spots for it. The item is also bound and cannot be sold.

Elyos: Head to Verteron, particularly the Verteron Fortress Ruins. Ruby deposits can be found around the outer edges of the fortress’s boundary wall. The area is southeast of the Dawn Legion Base, and the Verteron Fortress Valley teleport point makes reaching the farming area easier.

Other Verteron areas listed for Ruby include Ellun River Midstream, Destroyed Abyss Gate, and Kraka Footpath, so these are useful alternatives if the main area is crowded.

Asmodian: Travel to Altgard and search around Calderon Canyon, particularly the mountainous areas near the Mire Campsite and the crashed ship. There are numerous Ruby deposits scattered across the cliffs and nearby riverbanks.

If Calderon Canyon is busy, you can also check Dredgion Crash Site, Tranein Highland, Silent Hill, and Nameless Cemetery for additional Ruby nodes.

Tips for Farming Splendent Ruby

Ruby nodes are shared between players, so you might go to a location and find that the deposits have already been gathered. Nodes eventually respawn, so you can always return later. Make sure to check out all the Ruby locations instead of waiting at one spot. The popular and easy spots might always be taken on populated servers.

The extraction system also gives you Essence Extraction EXP, making Ruby farming useful beyond the quest itself. You can improve your extraction proficiency while searching for the Splendent Ruby.

For Elyos players, you can fly around the outer boundary of Verteron Fortress Ruins to get a better look at the deposits. For Asmodians, you can search the cliffs around Calderon Canyon. If enemies are nearby, use flight and be careful to avoid unnecessary combat.

Once you obtain the Splendent Ruby, return to your faction’s specialist:

• Elyos: Speak to Korius.
• Asmodian: Speak to Alzirr.

After finishing the quest, your Essence Extraction rank goes from Novice to Professional. With this, you can continue progressing beyond Level 50 and unlock further gathering progression.
