The three children, Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel, whom the actor shares with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner, reportedly do not see their father as the best source of dating advice despite his years of experience in the dating pool.

Speaking to Jimmy Kimmel during a September 24 appearance on his show, the Golden Globe awardee recalled how his children recently roasted him during dinner when he tried to key in on their love lives with advice.

He shared that they roll their eyes when he tries to put on the parenting pants in that aspect, with hopes of being seen as “the cool dad.”

“I’ll kind of launch into something at the dinner table and now I catch them giving each other looks. And I realize I’m the caricature in this story. I see them be like, ‘Dad is saying this and that…'” Affleck added.

The actor continued, sharing that his children were talking about their friends and the relationship drama during dinner, and he tried to join the conversation with words of wisdom.

“I have some lived experience, I think, that’s worth sharing… some lessons that I learned. These are the kinds of things we give to our children,” he explained before revealing how the conversation quickly went south.

Affleck started saying, “You know, well, the thing about that relationship there with that person,” only to be interrupted by his 17-year-old daughter, Seraphina, who sarcastically  quipped, “Oh, like you’re the expert on relationships.”

The TV personality also recalled a different incident where she roasted him at a bookstore after they saw a book titled “I’m Sorry for Everything.” Seraphina reportedly turned to her dad and said: “Oh, look, Dad, it’s your autobiography.”
