Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been accused of using “blackmail” to get their way as they fight for state-funded protection amid tensions with the rest of the royal family.

Speaking to TalkTV, Levin suggested that the Sussexes are trying to force things to go the way they want and questioned why the British public should pay to protect the couple.

Levin said, “It’s blackmail, isn’t it? That’s what I think. It’s the two of them now, if you don’t give them exactly what they want, when they want.”

She continued, saying, “They’re going here, ‘you can’t see the children’… And I think that it’s a blackmail thing,” implying that the Duke and Duchess were using their children as leverage.

Reports have also come out suggesting the Sussexes are likely to leave the UK and go back to the US should their latest security review not yield a favorable outcome.

For Levin, their departure would be welcome news, and she’d be “delighted” if the Sussexes, whom she says are “extremely unpleasant” in the UK, would return to their Montecito, California home.

Levin questioned the very idea of paying for the Sussexes’ security. “Why should we pay them? They’re not doing anything; are they going to work for us? Are they helping? No, they’re not,” she said, adding that Harry and Meghan “Just want the money.”

The Sussexes Could Move Back To The US ‘For Good’

The Sussexes, who only just arrived in the UK and have hardly settled, could potentially return to the United States “within weeks” because of their security issues.

According to Express, sources close to the non-working royal couple say that they would cut their extended stay in Harry’s homeland short if they are unable to come out on top following their security review.

A friend of Harry’s reportedly said, “If he doesn’t get [security], then I believe he will go back to Montecito for good, and that could be as soon as half-term.”

The source added that “If he doesn’t get it, then he will take that as a sign that there are deeper elements at play,” and the prince, along with his family, will once again exit Britain as they would be safer in America.

Security has been a major concern for the Sussexes, so much so that they had to move their children Archie and Lilibet to a different school because they couldn’t ensure their safety.

Hello! Magazine reported that the young prince and princess were removed from school mere days after the start of the new term because the family’s security team deemed the school run as potentially risky.

A spokesperson for Harry and Meghan told the outlet, “The decision for the children to move school was taken following a discussion with the family’s security team about the practicalities of their current arrangements.”

They emphasized that the decision to leave was not because of failure on the part of the school and praised the school for the love, effort and “exceptional care” the children received there.

The Sussexes’ Security Request Remains Under Review

Following their return to the UK, reports say Harry and Meghan’s security arrangements are currently under consideration.

According to ITV News, the UK’s Royal and VIP Executive Committee (RAVEC), which oversees taxpayer-funded police protection for royalty, will review Harry’s security while he settles in Britain with his wife and his children.

Meghan is at the same time also having her own Risk Management Board (RMB) to assess the potential threats facing her since the couple stopped being working royals.

A decision has yet to be made, and many believe the Sussexes have done nothing to earn the privilege.

Should the review not go the way they want, the Sussexes would no longer feel very safe, and it might mark the end of a brief yet dramatic UK return.
