Ottawa’s By-Law Services captured a dog running wild in Wednesday’s freezing temperatures and are hoping to track down a pair of hounds that were running with the caught animal.

“Have you seen my friends?” a doleful-looking hound is quoted as asking on the social media site X, on Thursday.

The dog was captured running wild in the Farmers Way and Piperville Road area.

“But my two buddies (boxer mix) escaped into the woods and it’s really cold,” the captured dog said in the caption.

“Please call 311 if you spot them so By-law can help them too!”

A City of Ottawa spokesperson said Thursday “the dog in the photo stayed at the vet overnight and is doing well.

“His owner was going to pick him up from the (Ottawa Humane Society).”

There were no updates on the other two dogs.
