Loved the iconic Gothic video game series? Well, its return is now finally official, with THQ Nordic confirming that the RPG trilogy is heading to PlayStation 5 and other platforms in 2026. The return includes the re-release of all three cult classics coming back into the spotlight, and here is everything that has been confirmed so far, including the release dates, platforms, and pricing.
Gothic Trilogy Release Date and Platforms

In a surprising turn of events, rather than launching as a single bundle, the Gothic Classic Trilogy will be rolling out in three separate releases across 2026. This approach may have been taken to ensure that each title gets its own moment of attention.
Gothic Classic is set to release on July 28, 2026, followed by Gothic II Complete Classic on September 29, 2026. The trilogy concludes with Gothic 3 Classic, which is all set to launch on November 24, 2026, allowing players to experience each chapter of the series at their own comfortable pace.
Moreover, all three titles in the trilogy are confirmed for multiple platforms, including PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One.
Gothic Trilogy Pricing And Versions Being Released

As reported by PlayStation LifeStyle, each game in the trilogy will be sold individually, rather than as part of a single collection. The confirmed pricing stands at €29.99 per title, positioning it as a mid-range purchase for buyers out in the market.
As of now, there is also no official confirmation of bundled editions at launch. However, it remains likely that THQ Nordic will make one available promptly once all three games are out.
Most importantly, these games are not going to be remakes, but rather are just updated ports of the original games. Piranha Bytes, the German Developer behind the classic series, has preserved the original titles, and now they are arriving with technical enhancements for modern platforms.
Furthermore, the trilogy’s re-release is tied to the upcoming Gothic 1 Remake, and players who pre-order the remake will receive early access to Gothic Classic, with the Remake scheduled to release on June 5, 2026. Lastly, as noted by Gematsu, Physical editions will be available for PlayStation 5 (disc) and Xbox Series (disc, but content download required).
Whether you’re returning as a veteran or stepping in for the first time, the Gothic revival is shaping up to be something special. Make sure to tune in for more updates as the trilogy gets closer to release.
