Gladbach on the verge of signing Mainz goalkeeper Daniel Batz

The veteran German shot-stopper is set to sign a contract with the Rhineland club shortly.

According to Sky Germany's Florian Plettenberg, Daniel Batz to Borussia Mönchengladbach is now a done deal.

Gladbach have reached a total agreement with the Mainz goalkeeper, who will join the Rhineland club as a free agent in the summer.

The 35-year-old has already completed his medical at Gladbach, who on Sunday ensured they will remain in the Bundesliga next season.

Batz is expected to put pen to paper on a contract soon, with a deal until 2028 with the potential to extend for another year available.

This campaign, in the absence of injured Robin Zentner, Batz has made 20 appearances in the German topflight and kept 3 clean sheets.
