Hugo Lloris has praised Harry Kane following the Bayern Munich striker's Ballon d'Or triumph, describing his former Tottenham teammate as a role model and one of football's most complete players.

"It's fantastic for Harry. I'm happy for him and his family. It's the culmination of his journey, his resilience and his clinical finishing," Lloris told "L'Équipe".

The former France captain highlighted Kane's evolution from a striker who primarily relied on runs in behind to a player capable of contributing in every area of the game.

"Today, he can do everything: play short passes, play long passes, make tackles and track back to defend. And he's undoubtedly the best player in the penalty box. Right foot, left foot, headers – he has it all," Lloris added.

Having spent several years alongside Kane at Tottenham, Lloris also praised the England international's professionalism and humility, insisting that his success goes far beyond his goalscoring record.

"Harry doesn't seek the limelight, and he owes this Ballon d'Or to his professionalism and humility. He is a role model in our sport," he said.

Despite Kane's individual achievement, Lloris believes the striker still has major ambitions to fulfil, identifying the Champions League and the European Championship as his next targets.

"Knowing him, I know what his next big challenges are: winning the Champions League and winning the Euros at home in 18 months' time. He still has many great years ahead of him," Lloris concluded.
