Florida man allegedly dumps poop-filled backpack on ex-girlfriend as payback for cheating

The man is also accused of strangling and slapping the woman

A Florida man is facing a number of charges after allegedly dumping a backpack full of human excrement on his ex-girlfriend.

Daniel Niemiec, 20, faces one charge of domestic violence strangulation and two charges of domestic violence battery in relation to a number of alleged attacks at his Coral Springs apartment that started in June.

An affidavit obtained by Law & Crime noted a woman told police that she went to Niemiec’s home on June 2 and had consensual sex with him. However, during the tryst, the woman claimed Niemiec continually slapped her face even after she begged him to stop.

Then on June 30, the woman told police she had been arguing with Niemiec when he strangled her, leaving her struggling to breathe after he let her go. She also alleged that he laughed at her during the attack.

The woman broke up with Niemiec after the incident.

Poop ‘and other unknown fluids’

The unnamed woman told cops she went to stay with a friend in Margate, Fla., after the attack, returning the next day to get her belongings. Upon arrival, she was greeted by Niemiec, who held her backpack in the parking lot outside his abode, PEOPLE reported.

Niemiec had urinated and defecated in the backpack, while also filling it with ketchup, hot sauce, “and other unknown fluids,” according to the court documents. He then allegedly dumped the bag’s contents onto the woman.

While recounting the incident to police, the woman was shaking uncontrollably, Law & Crime reported.

Suspect says things got ‘out of hand’

Upon being arrested, Niemiec allegedly admitted to authorities he slapped his ex-flame while having sex because he was “testing something new,” stating things had “gotten out of hand,” the Miami Herald reported. He also told cops he strangled the woman because he had “anger issues and sometimes can’t control it.”

Niemiec also confessed to peeing and pooping in the bag as “payback for her cheating,” the affidavit noted. The man said he thought he had just thrown the backpack but “could not recall where the items landed,” per the Herald.

The man posted a US$4,000 bond, but he’s subject to electronic monitoring and has a no-contact order with his ex-girlfriend. It’s unknown whether he entered a plea or has an lawyer.
