Parts of Quebec were experiencing flooding Sunday, following days of heavy rainfall.
As of around 10 a.m. Sunday morning, the Public Security Ministry was reporting 35 instances of minor and medium flooding across the province.
Minor flooding was reported at a monitoring station in the Rivière des Prairies, between the West Island, Île Bizard and Laval.
Public Security also recorded minor flooding in the Mille-Îles River at the western tip of Laval and in Lac des Deux Montagnes, including at a station between Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue and Île Perrot.
Heavy rainfall and snowmelt were expected to raise the flood risk this weekend.
Almost 50 millimetres of rain have fallen in Montreal since last Sunday, according to Environment Canada data. A typical April sees 80 millimetres of rainfall over the entire month.
Mixed precipitation is forecast for Sunday.
This report will be updated.
