Fantasy Bundesliga tips: Strikers to consider for the start of the 2026/27 season

With the 2026/27 Bundesliga season just around the corner, we're here to give you a helping hand with your Fantasy Bundesliga team.

In the fourth article of our series highlighting key players by position, we take a look at the strikers you should have on your radar when building your squad for the start of the season.
 

Budget options:

Stefan Marino, Paderborn – 2.49m

Probably the cheapest nailed-on starter up front in the game, Marino is a useful enabler for Fantasy managers. He registered 10 goal involvements in 32 games for Paderborn last season, scoring eight goals and providing two assists. He also got on the scoresheet in their most recent competitive outing, scoring in the 4-2 DFB-Pokal win over Phönix Lübeck.

Younes Ebnoutalib, Eintracht Frankfurt – 3.37m

For less than a million more than Marino, you can get Ebnoutalib, who looks set to begin the season as a starter for Eintracht Frankfurt. The striker made a promising start after joining from Elversberg in January, but an injury significantly limited his playing time during the remainder of the campaign. Now back to full fitness, Ebnoutalib played the full 90 minutes in Eintracht Frankfurt's 5-0 DFB-Pokal win over SC St. Tönis last weekend, scoring once and providing an assist.

Tidiam Gomis, RB Leipzig – 4.5m

When Romulo missed RB Leipzig's 6-0 win over Eintracht Trier in the DFB-Pokal last weekend, Gomis was given the nod over Conrad Harder up front. The Frenchman went on to provide an assist and looks in line to retain his starting spot against Gladbach if Romulo isn't passed fit.

Livan Burcu, 1. FC Union Berlin (Striker, 4.94M)

After receiving considerable praise towards the end of last season, expectations are high for the 21-year-old attacker heading into the 2026/27 campaign. A skilful player with an eye for goal, Burcu could really establish himself at Union this season, with the youngster currently expected to start on the left wing.
 

Mid-range options:

Adam Hlozek, Hoffenheim – 9m

After missing almost the entire 2025/26 season through injury, Hlozek is finally fully fit again. Having enjoyed a solid pre-season, the Czech international will be looking to regain the importance he had for Hoffenheim before his injury and should have a great chance of starting up front from the beginning of the season.

Afonso Moreira, Bayer Leverkusen – 9.75m

A winger rather than a traditional striker, Moreira has shown what he can offer with his pace and trickery during Leverkusen's pre-season campaign. Most recently, he put in a convincing performance in their 4-0 DFB-Pokal win over Wehen, picking up a clever assist in the process.

At 9.75m, he doesn't seem like a particularly expensive option given his potential upside, especially with Leverkusen facing a favourable opening schedule against Elversberg, Union Berlin and Augsburg.

Philip Tietz, Mainz – 10.51m

Mainz's main man up front couldn't have asked for a better start to the competitive season, scoring four goals in their 9-0 DFB-Pokal win over Krischow. He should have another good opportunity to get on the scoresheet this week, with Die Nullfünfer kicking off their Bundesliga campaign at home against newly-promoted Paderborn.

Premium options:

Patrik Schick, Bayer Leverkusen  – 18.38m

Always good for a goal, the Czech marksman is one of the few players in the game capable of delivering a huge points haul on any given matchday. He showed exactly that in May, when he scored a hat-trick in Leverkusen's 4-1 win over RB Leipzig. Christian Kofane provides competition for his place, but Schick remains the No. 1 striker for a Leverkusen side opening the season against newly-promoted Elversberg.

Luis Diaz, FC Bayern  – 28.77m

Diaz enjoyed an extraordinary first season at Bayern Munich, and that is reflected in his price tag of almost 29 million. Still, he costs nearly 10 million less than Harry Kane, making him an excellent alternative – or even a player you could pair with the England captain if you can find the funds and want to prioritise a strong frontline.

Harry Kane, FC Bayern – 38.11m

The main man up front for Bayern, Kane is very difficult to leave out of your Fantasy squad. The England international found the net 36 times in 31 Bundesliga appearances last season, including three hat-tricks and six braces. With that kind of goal-scoring record, it’s hard to justify leaving Kane out of your Fantasy squad.
