Meryl Streep personally reached out to Gaga, while out at dinner in Islington, and asked the singer, “Would you do this?” to which Gaga immediately said yes (via People). 

Despite being on a massive world tour at the time, she flew in and filmed her scenes during a hectic schedule. Her cameo in the movie is precious and apt because she’s so connected to the world of fashion as an artist that people are always on the lookout for her red carpet appearance. 

2 Naomi Campbell 

Naomi Campbell and supermodel are practically synonymous! Her striking features, powerful runway walk, and commanding presence made Campbell a global fashion figure. She broke racial barriers in fashion, becoming the first Black model to grace the cover of French Vogue, and even today she’s admired for her longevity and influence on the industry.

He says this because Meryl Streep’s character, Miranda Priestly, is widely believed to be inspired by Wintour herself. She was on the film set and shot at Dior offices, but the playful and non-serious shots she was in couldn’t be used because they were out of focus. But there’s still hope because we might see her after the movie’s streaming release or in additional footage. 

5 Ciara 

You’ll spot Ciara during the Met Gala scene filmed at the Museum of Natural History in New York City. The American singer, songwriter, dancer, and actress is clearly a woman of many talents, and is known for her smooth R&B voice, plus her high-energy choreography. So, her presence does align with the movie’s fashion and celebrity ecosystem, where actual stars are always around such elite industry settings. 

6 Ashley Graham 

Ashley Graham is a supermodel who’s part of the movie’s opening sequence. Graham is also a TV presenter, body positivity advocate, and someone who’s played a huge role in changing beauty standards in the fashion world. For years, Graham has been one of the biggest voices in the body positivity movement, and her being featured in The Devil Wears Prada 2 shows that the saga has moved with time and inculcated voices who stand for diversity. 

7 Amelia Dimoldenberg

Internet’s favorite Amelia Dimoldenberg, known for her viral Chicken Shop Date interviews, deadpan humor, and awkward flirting moments, is also in the Meryl Streep starrer! During the movie’s London premiere, Dimoldenberg said that she couldn’t believe that she was in The Devil Wears Prada 2 “for even a moment,” she continued (via BBC):

DeSorbo appears in The Devil Wears Prada 2 for a few seconds, but even with such limited screentime, her fans are going wild about her presence, and rightfully so! 

9 Hannah Berner

Hannah Berner had a career trajectory similar to her co-host, DeSorbo, and together they’ve created one of the most successful podcasts in America. She also has a Netflix stand-up special and is loved for her relatable, fast-paced humor. Akin to DeSorbo, eagle-eyed fans can spot her in the movie during a blink-and-miss-it scene! 

Apart from these names, Sydney Sweeney had also filmed a cameo for The Devil Wears Prada 2, but it was completely removed from the movie’s final version (via Entertainment Weekly). The scene was about three minutes long, where Sweeney played herself, and Emily, as a top exec, was dressing the actress up as one of her celebrity clients. 

However, it just did not fit the story, and could have caused pacing issues. While some netizens argue that it was due to Sweeney’s controversies, the representatives have maintained that it was purely a creative decision.
