Country star Ella Langley’s Tulsa, Oklahoma, show scheduled for Friday night has been abruptly canceled as a result of “a serious security threat.”
The venue, BOK Center, posted to social media Friday afternoon: “Due to a serious securty threat involving the safety of fans, venue personnel, and the artist, Ella Langley’s scheduled performance tonight at BOK Center in Tulsa has been canceled.”
“The safety and well-being of everyone involved is our absolute priority, and after careful consideration, we determined that the show cannot proceed,” the message added.

No other information was given regarding the nature of the threat. Fans were informed that ticket refund info would be made available as soon as possible.
Langley herself took to her Instagram to apologize, telling fans that the “decision was made under the advisement of local authorities, the venue, and my security team.”
“I can’t tell you how sorry I am,” she wrote, acknowledging that she knows her fans took substantial “time, travel, money, and planning” to come to the show. “This is not a decision that was made lightly.”
She ended with: “I refuse to put anyone in harm’s way.”

Langley, 27, has been heating up the charts for some time with her viral “Choosin’ Texas” single, which managed to beat Mariah Carey’s formidable Billboard Hot 100 record.
“Choosin’ Texas” recently became the longest-running No. 1 single on the Billboard Hot 100 list, surpassing Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” which spent 22 weeks atop the chart.
After the historic achievement, Langley spoke out, gushing that she was speechless and couldn’t “find the words to help explain what’s going on in my brain.”
Last week at a show in Columbus, Ohio, Langley told the crowd, “I don’t think I’ve ever had more opinions on myself in my life than I have in this last year.”
The singer noted that she has been criticized for “the way I look, the way I speak, the way I dress, the way I move, the way I sing [and] the way I write.”
“The girl that they’re kind of picking on is the girl that got me where I’m sitting here today,” the hitmaker ultimately pointed out.
