After selling Noel Futkeu to 2. Bundesliga side Greuther Fürth in 2024, Eintracht Frankfurt have now activated a buy-back clause to bring the 23-year-old striker back in the summer.

“Noel has developed very well at Fürth,” said Eintracht Frankfurt board member for sport Markus Krösche.

“Getting regular playing time in the second division has clearly done him a lot of good, both as a player and as a person. We’re delighted that he’s returning to us at the end of the season.”

Futkeu has been a standout performer in the 2. Bundesliga this season, sitting joint-second in the scoring charts with 15 goals in 30 league appearances for Fürth.

He scored 16 goals in 27 matches for Eintracht’s second team in the Regionalliga Südwest during the 2023/24 campaign before his departure.
