Dortmund reach agreement with RB Salzburg defender Joane Gadou

The 19-year-old is supposedly on the brink of joining Borussia Dortmund ahead of the 2026-27 season.

Borussia Dortmund and RB Salzburg's Joane Gadou have reached a full agreement regarding a transfer this summer, per Sky Germany.

The length of the deal isn't entirely known, but it will comprise of a long-term contract for the 19-year-old talented defender. 

Negotiations between BVB and RB Salzburg are close to completion, leaving just a medical to complete and official signing still pending.

The Frenchman will set the Westphalians back around €20million up front, €4-6million in add-ons, plus a high sell-on clause.

Transfer journalist Florian Plettenberg has labelled it a strong piece of business for Dortmund's new sporting director Ole Book.

Across all competitions this season, Gadou has featured 33 times for the Austrian club, playing over 2,720 minutes in total.
