Digger Star Rumored for Avengers: Doomsday Role

As fans gear up for one of Marvel’s biggest and boldest movies ever, Avengers: Doomsday, a casting rumor has made its way into the spotlight. Sandra Hüller, who recently appeared in Tom Cruise’s Digger and Ryan Gosling’s Project Hail Mary, is rumored to have joined the ensemble cast for the upcoming MCU movie.

The rumor appears to have stemmed from the British Stunt Register, a portfolio for stunt performers from the UK, where Avengers: Doomsday was primarily filmed. The website lists stunt actress Stevie Parker as the stunt double for Hüller in the fifth Avengers installment. Notably, Marvel has already confirmed a few stars for the movie, but Hüller had not previously been announced as part of the cast.

What Could Be Sandra Hüller’s Role in Avengers: Doomsday?

It is not just the British Stunt Register; several internet users are claiming that Sandra Hüller plays a key role in Avengers: Doomsday. Many now seem to believe that she actually plays the mysterious ‘Green Witch’ in the movie. Previously, some fans had theorized that the mysterious character was Sylvie, the Loki variant played by Sophia Di Martino. One X user commented, “A person I talked to told me about this weeks ago, but I didn’t believe them at the time… let’s just say that Sylvie fans are gonna be real disappointed.”

Another Reddit user echoed, “The witch is played by Sandra Hüller btw.” Since her casting was not officially announced by Marvel, fans can only speculate if Hüller truly stars in Avengers: Doomsday, and if she does, what role she might be playing. That said, the rumor has sure sparked some anticipation, as Sandra Hüller already boasts a strong resume, having starred in Anatomy of a Fall (2023), Project Hail Mary (2026), and Digger (2026).

Avengers: Doomsday Cast: Everything We Know So Far

While Hüller’s casting remains a rumor at this moment, Marvel has already officially confirmed several cast members for Avengers: Doomsday. Robert Downey Jr. is confirmed to play Victor von Doom, aka Doctor Doom. Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth reprise their respective roles as Steve Rogers and Thor. The confirmed ensemble cast includes Pedro Pascal as Mr. Fantastic, Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, Anthony Mackie as Captain America, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, and Vanessa Kirby as Invisible Woman.

Marvel’s latest official update also confirms Simu Liu as Shang-Chi, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, James Marsden as Cyclops, Patrick Stewart as Professor X, Joseph Quinn as Human Torch, Sebastian Stan as Winter Soldier, Letitia Wright as Black Panther, and several other returning stars. The confirmed ensemble also includes Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Wyatt Russell, Channing Tatum, Ian McKellen, Hayley Atwell, David Harbour, and more. However, this is not necessarily the complete cast for Avengers: Doomsday, as the Russo brothers recently confirmed that the entire cast has not been announced yet.
