Halton Regional Police said the man was working at Holistic Hijama on Weston Dr. at the time of the incident.

Police were called after a woman was allegedly sexually assaulted during a visit to the business.

Ehsan Ansari, 58, was charged.

In addition to his practice in Milton, investigators have confirmed that the accused previously worked in Mississauga and it’s believed there may be additional victims. A photo of the accused has been released.

MONTREALER CHARGED FOR ATTEMPTED CARJACKINGS IN T.O.

A 19-year-old Montreal man faces 11 charges in connection with a series of attempted carjackings in Toronto.

Police say between Nov.10-14, 2023, it’s alleged that suspects approached victims either in driveways or in parking lots, used pepper spray and physical force, then demanded keys to vehicles and when unable to quickly accomplish that, the suspects fled to their vehicle.

Cops say in one instance, they were able to get into the victim’s Lamborghini, but after smashing into several parked cars, abandoned it and fled.

Members of the Toronto Police Hold Up Squad identified one of the suspects involved and when he was not found, a warrant was obtained.

On Wednesday, Montreal police with the Service de police de la Ville de Montreal (SPVM) arrested the accused and with the help of 43 Division, he was brought back to Toronto.

Jamar Jacque Frame has been charged with robbery with an offensive weapon, five counts of robbery, three counts of administer noxious substance and two counts of mischief under.

MAN ACCUSED OF THREATS WITH HANDGUN

A 28-year-old man faces eight charges after allegedly threatening a female with a handgun in Ottawa on Sunday at about 9:15 p.m. in the Olive Ave.-Keewatin St. S. area.

Durham Regional Police say it’s alleged an armed person showed up the residence of a female and made threats toward her while pointing a handgun but fled before police arrived.

The alleged victim did not sustain any physical injuries.

Don-Neil Halstead, of no fixed address, was arrested and charged on Sept. 3 and a significant amount of cocaine was located in his possession and a replica firearm was located in the residence he was staying in.

This was an isolated incident.

MAN ACCUSED OF PROWLING IN AJAX

A 53-year-old Whitby man is accused ofsecretly observing homeowners on their properties in Ajax.

On Tuesday at about 9:05 p.m., Durham Regional Police responded to multiple calls for a prowler in the area of Georgina Dr. and Brooks Rd.

It’s alleged a male entered the yards of several residences in an attempt to watch the occupants through their windows. Officers, with the assistance of the K9 Unit, found the accused.

Cleius George has been charged with two counts of prowl at night, four counts of secretly observe person expecting privacy, and criminal harassment.

HAMILTON MAN CHARGED WITH SHOPLIFTING

A 24-year-old Hamilton man is accused of brandishing a knife and shoplifting at a Burlington grocery store.

Halton Regional Police said on Wednesday at 1:53 p.m. a man entered Fortinos at 2515 Appleby Ln. and allegedly stole a variety of grocery items. Police said when loss prevention officers attempted to arrest him, the man fled to the parking lot and attempted to make his escape in a vehicle but collided with a second vehicle.

Police say the man exited his vehicle where he brandished a knife towards employees that were attempting to intervene. With help from loss prevention officers and bystanders, the accused was subdued and held for responding police officers.

Two Fortinos employees and one civilian suffered minor injuries during the altercation.

Omar Abugalib was charged with seven offences.

BOATER CHARGED WITH IMPAIRED

A 58-year-old Toronto man was charged after allegedly operating a boat while impaired in Pickering.

Durham Regional Police say on Aug. 23 at about 8:05 p.m. officers responded near Rouge Park Bay after a boat had lost power and was stranded in the water near the shore.

The DRPS Marine Unit brought seven passengers and the driver to shore and while checking identification, officers learned the driver was currently a Criminal Code Canada-wide prohibited driver. He was taken in custody.

Shanthakumar Kandiah faces four charges.
