The UEFA Executive Committee confirmed on Tuesday that the 2028 Champions League final will take place at the Allianz Arena in Munich, which was the only bidder for the event.

The final of Europe's most prestigious club competition will return to Bayern Munich's stadium just three years after it was last played there, in 2025.

It was also confirmed on Tuesday that Barcelona's renovated Camp Nou has been chosen over Wembley Stadium in London to host the final a year later, in 2029.

The much-delayed renovation of the iconic stadium will see its overall capacity increase to 105,000.

Bayern Munich were involved the last time Barcelona hosted a Champions League final, losing 2-1 to Manchester United in 1999 after the English side scored twice in stoppage time.

The 2026/27 Champions League final will be played in Madrid at Atlético Madrid's Metropolitano Stadium.
