Police from MRC des Collines-de-l’Outaouais said the land-and-water search that began on June 2 had ended.

Lidington, who has a neurocognitive health condition, went missing on June 2. He was last seen on Hellard Road at about 3 p.m. that day.

Clues near the man’s Chelsea home suggested Lidington ventured into the Gatineau River, Sgt. Martin Fournel of MRC des Collines police wrote in a news release on June 3, but a day later police said investigators had not ruled out the possibility that Lidington went elsewhere on foot.

The investigation remained active, and anyone with information about Lidington’s whereabouts was asked to contact Det. Sgt/ Catherine Madore of MRC des Collines-de-l’Outaouais police at 819-459-2422 ext. 4203.
